Bayside Inn - Monterey

The room was huge with good beds, had wake-up service, that's cool.

The location was convenient in a nice area, really close to a tourist area, Monterey and downtown. The room was large and the facilities included a flat-screen TV with cable channels, climate control and a microwave oven.

It was a really great stay for 1 night. The staff was good and kind and took care of us. We greatly enjoyed coffee, breads, cereal and muffins at breakfast...

I appreciated its outstandingly accommodating and superbly friendly staff and the rooms were modern with microwave, an extra optional blanket, iron. There was a wide array of food for breakfast, including croissants and muffins.

Such a great little hotel! Lovely staff! So nice and accommodating! I loved my stay at Bayside Inn! The location was perfect! The rooms clean! I am so glad that we stayed there for our romantic weekend!

I liked the price and the location. We also had a refrigerator and a microwave in the room which we used. The owner had breakfast items each morning, coffee, and juice. There was free internet for my computer.

We were surprised that there were no lamps in the room. The light was overhead so if my husband wanted to sleep and I wanted to read, it didn't work well.

We stayed at the Bayside Inn for one night during Monterey Car Week, and were able to get a great rate by booking well ahead of time. This is not a high end hotel by any means, but if you need a good, basic, clean, decent sized room, then this place will do just fine. The bed was large and very comfortable. The location is great - very close to downtown Monterey. The owner and his family, who run the place, are extremely friendly and accommodating, and the chocolate chip muffins - part of the free continental breakfast - were great!

This didn't bother me, but some might be concerned that (on our room anyway, I don't know if they're all like this) there was no deadbolt lock on the door, only a locking doorknob. I would encourage the owner to add some better/additional locks to the doors to help folks feel more secure.

The bayside Inn is really clean, room is really descent everthing is excellent amd the manager is very helpful breakfast is good too. And the rate is very reasonable most especially when you have a tight budget keep it up :) me and my wife had a great time staying.

I've chosen this hotel (actually, this is a _motel_) since it was close to the place where the conference I attended was held. The rooms are fine although the furniture and equipment is pretty old and was obviously heavily used. The staff (owner?) was quite nice and helpful. Breakfast was poor but ok for that price.

Thin walls and drunk and loud neighbours made one of my nights awful. Wifi was working for only a couple of days - then some problems appeared. The guy on the reception suggested to use their another network but signal always disappeared and was not usable at all.

Good price/service ratio. Excellent staff.

Internet connection was not on working, but the staff provided to me an additional laptop. So, the problem was overcome. The breakfast has to be made within the room, because there is not a dedicated area.

Quiet place to stay. The manager and caretakers, Mr. Neal and Mihir Patel are friendly people and very helpful. They even allowed me to use their bicycle to move around. This made be feel like part of the area residents. I really enjoyed my stay in the hotel.

Lack of wardrobes for clothes.

The motel is well-located with friendly service and a surprisingly spacious room, though the breakfast options could use improvement. It provided a solid stay for the price, making it a worthwhile stop for budget-conscious travelers.
